Westworld and X-Men star James Marsden has become the latest name to sign up for Quentin Tarantino’s forthcoming all-star project, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Details of the new roles being taken on by Marsden and the newly cast Julia Butters remain under wraps for the time being, with Damian Lewis set to play Steve McQueen and Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, with a cast that so far includes Al Pacino, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Elephant, Luke Perry, Dakota Fanning and Emilie Hirsch.
Front and centre for the feature, though, are Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt as a former TV western star and his longtime stunt double respectively. Down on their luck in a Hollywood they no longer understand, the pair set out to enlist the help of DiCaprio’s famous neighbour: one Sharon Tate.
A global release is planned for the film, which will open on August 9th, 2019 – the fiftieth anniversary of the LaBianca murders, and only a single day after Tate’s death at the hands of the Manson family.
